Ein wunderschöner Entwurf des bekannten Seemanns Eric Taberly. Dieser schnelle Großschoner kann mit einer kleinen Besatzung gesegelt werden. Das macht das Schiff sehr geeignet für eine Weltumsegelung oder als Charterschiff. Im Jahr 2005 wurde das Schiff von den jetzigen Eigentümern gekauft und als Wochenend-Rennboot genutzt. Im Moment sind einige Investitionen nötig, um das Schiff wieder in einen guten Zustand zu bringen. Der Preis wurde soeben reduziert und ist jetzt sehr attraktiv! In den Jahren 2014/2015 wurde ein größerer Umbau durchgeführt, bei dem ein neuer Aufbau angebracht wurde und das Cockpit, die Cockpits und das Steuerhaus neu gemacht wurden. Es wurden ein neuer Motor, ein Bugstrahlruder, eine Ankerwinde, Wassertanks, ein Fäkalientank, ein Dieseltank, Batterien, eine neue Verkabelung, Rohrleitungen, Luken, Fenster, ein Batterieladegerät, ein Wechselrichter usw. eingebaut. Das Schiff war dann etwa 7 Jahre lang in der Karibik unterwegs, und jetzt sind viele Wartungsarbeiten überfällig. Das Deck ist undicht und muss teilweise ersetzt werden. Auch das Teakdeck braucht Aufmerksamkeit.

Gasherd und Backofen müssen ersetzt werden.

Die laufende Takelage muss teilweise ersetzt werden, ebenso die Großsegel. Die Vorsegel sind in gutem Zustand. Der Baum des vorderen Mastes muss repariert oder ersetzt werden. Die Rollreffanlage muss demontiert und gewartet werden. (läuft jetzt nicht)

Die Navigationsgeräte von B&G hydra müssen ersetzt werden.

Das Unterwasserschiff erhielt 3 Schichten Epoxidpanzer, gefolgt von 2 Schichten Epoxidkupferanstrich, also insgesamt 5 Schichten Epoxid. Die abschließende Kupferbeschichtung wurde im Sommer 2020 aufgebracht.

A beautiful design by renowned sea sailor Eric Taberly. This fast large schooner can be sailed with a small crew. This makes the ship very suitable for a trip around the world or to use it as a charter ship. In 2005 the ship was purchased by the current owners and was in use as a weekend race boat. In 2014/2015 there was a major refit where a new superstructure was installed and the cockpit, cockpits and wheelhouse were made new. A new engine, bow thruster, windlass, water tanks, holding tank, diesel tank, batteries, new wiring, piping, hatches, windows, battery charger, inverter, etc. were fitted. Then the vessel sailed in the Carribbean for about 7 years and now there is a lot of overdue maintenance. There are leaks in the deck that needs to be partially replaced. The teak deck also needs attention.

Gas stove and oven are in need of replacement.

The running rigging needs partial replacement as do the mainsails. The headsails are in good condition. The boom of the forward mast needs to be repaired or replaced. The furling reef unit needs to be taken apart and serviced. (does not run now)

B&G hydra navigation equipment needs to be replaced.

The underwater ship has 3 coats of epoxy armor coat followed by 2 coats of epoxy coppercoat so a total of 5 coats of epoxy. The final coppercoat layer was applied in the summer of 2020.
