Tradewind Islander

The sailing cutter Tradewind Islander, with its two metres extra length, is the big brother of the Atoll. These two metres immediately become clear above deck, but above all they mean a lot of living and storage space inside.

The original hull shape, the multiknik truss, brings even more space inside and as far as the boat is concerned good sailing characteristics. To the wind, the boat lies quietly on one ear on the upper kink, which lengthens the waterline and gives the wind a pleasant speed. Like all Tradewind models, the boat has the CE-A quality mark, which means that it is suitable for sailing all over the world seas.

The Tadewind sailing yachts are known for their traditional appearance and solid construction. The polyester hull - constructed according to the 'hand-lay-up' method - is stylishly finished with mahogany, stainless steel or bronze and leather. A classic atmosphere is created both on deck and in the cabin. The interior revives old times: the double berth in the forward cabin with dressing table, the large hanging cupboard, the main cabin with two sofas, the pilot cabin, the spacious galley and a full size navigation room and lots of storage space everywhere. Of course there is a wet room with toilet and shower facility, made from a single polyeser mould, so easy to keep clean. There is enough space to create two lockable cabins or an extra dog cage.

The high quality materials used to build the Tradewind Islander guarantee a minimum of maintenance. The deck of the sailing cutter is almost entirely equipped with "Treadmaster" anti-slip material, which greatly enhances the safety of the deck. On deck we continue to work with a lot of stainless steel and solid teak. Also mast, gaff and bowsprit are equipped with stainless steel fittings and the boat has a deep, comfortable cockpit with large storage spaces.

The ship is equipped with: Volvo Penta 3-blade folding propeller (2001), electric anchor winch, self-tailing winches, roller reefing system for the jib and a jib, lazy jackets for mainsail.
Deck prisms, Treadmaster anti-slip on deck, Lewmar hatches, stainless steel deck fittings, teak on cockpit benches and teak block grating on cockpit floor, electric and manual bilge pump, shore power connection and cable, battery charger, separate battery system, permanently installed radar reflector on top of mast, Furuno radar, Simrad windset, depth gauge and log with readable daughter instruments inside on the full-size chart table, chart table is equipped with lamp with night blinds, Mariphone, Eberspacher hot air heating with 4 outlets, teak interior, radio / CD player, 2 burner Origo oven & grill (semi-cardanic).
Hydraufoor and boiler for hot water shower in wet room, kitchen and outdoor shower in the cockpit, cool box 12V, double sink, cold water foot pump, mounted drinking water filter, fenders and land fenders, cock hook and wells.
The bowsprit is easy to bring in.
The ship has only been used as a demonstration ship, in new condition and never slept on.

The bowsprit is easy to retract.
The ship has only been used as a demonstration vessel, in new condition, and has never been slept on.
